Tax savings fund the policy. The policy funds the investments.
That's The Wealth Flywheel.
Most high-income earners handle their finances in pieces, with a tax strategy over here, a retirement account over there, and a life insurance policy somebody sold them at some point that nobody has looked at since.
The Wealth Flywheel works differently. It's one coordinated system where each component funds the next, and every dollar ends up doing more than one job.
PILLAR ONE
Stop overpaying. Start with tax strategy.
Your CPA's job is to file your taxes accurately, and that's compliance work. Tax strategy is a different discipline, and it usually starts 12 to 18 months ahead of the filing, because the goal is to legally reduce what you owe before the year closes rather than after.
Most high-income professionals have the first and not the second. They have a CPA who records what happened, and nobody helping them design what happens next.
The strategies we coordinate vary by situation, and the categories we work with most often are these.
Bonus Depreciation Strategies
Accelerated depreciation on qualified assets, or a cost segregation study on real estate, lets you write off large dollar amounts against ordinary income in the year the property is placed in service. The One Big Beautiful Bill Act made 100 percent first-year bonus depreciation permanent for qualified property acquired after January 19, 2025, so this is one of the more durable strategies on the list.
Oil & Gas IDC Deductions
Intangible drilling cost deductions from qualifying oil and gas investments create large, immediate deductions against active income, often in the range of 60 to 80 percent of the initial investment in the first year.
Charitable Giving Strategies
Donor-advised funds, charitable remainder trusts, and leveraged charitable structures let high-income earners reduce their tax bill while directing meaningful dollars toward causes they already care about.
Defined Benefit and Cash Balance Plans
These are qualified retirement plan structures that let high-earning business owners contribute far beyond standard 401(k) limits, sometimes $100,000 to $300,000 or more per year, fully deductible, which builds retirement assets and reduces current-year tax exposure at the same time.
Every situation is different, and the strategies above are not appropriate for every client. The right combination depends on your income structure, your entity type, the timing, and what you're actually trying to build.
We don't implement these strategies ourselves. We coordinate implementation through a vetted network of CPAs, tax attorneys, and licensed specialists who work with EWS clients.
PILLAR TWO
Tax savings belong somewhere that keeps compounding.
When a tax strategy frees up $50,000, the next question is where it goes.
Most people park it in a brokerage account or a savings account, and both of those grow slowly, get taxed along the way, and limit your access without some kind of consequence attached.
We redirect those savings into properly structured whole life policies. Not the whole life policy someone sold your parents in 1985, but a specifically designed, overfunded policy built for cash value accumulation and access.
-
You fund the policy each year, often using freed-up tax savings as the source
-
The cash value grows tax-deferred, guaranteed by contract rather than by the market
-
You reach that capital through income-tax free policy loans, at any time, for any purpose
-
Your cash value keeps compounding even while you've borrowed against it
-
The death benefit passes to your family income-tax free
This is the Infinite Banking Concept, which means using a whole life policy as your own private banking system, recapturing interest you'd otherwise hand to a bank and deploying capital without breaking its compounding.
IRC Section 7702 governs how these policies keep their tax-advantaged status, and they've been a legal, tax-advantaged vehicle for over a century.

PILLAR THREE
Capital that's positioned well should work as hard as you did for it.
Once your tax picture is improving and your savings are compounding inside a policy, you have something most investors don't, which is liquid capital you can deploy without triggering a taxable event.
Policy loans are not taxable, they don't require credit approval, and your cash value keeps compounding while the loan is outstanding. That gives you a way to fund private market investments most high-income professionals never see.
Through our affiliated platform, Expedition Equity, EWS clients can access curated opportunities across real estate, private equity, private credit, energy, and venture. Family offices and institutional investors have used these asset classes for generations, and they're available now to accredited investors who have the relationships and the capital positioned to move.
HOW IT FLOWS TOGETHER
Every dollar does more than one job.

The output of each step funds the input of the next. Building it out properly takes 12 to 24 months, and once it's running it doesn't stop.
